Singer Prithwi Raj no more

Music composer, singer and lyricist Prithwi Raj breathed his last while working at his studio early Sunday, according to a Facebook post of the singer’s brother Ritu Raj.

Ritu in his post wrote, Prithwi went to the studio in Dhanmondi at around 10:00pm on Saturday. Family members failing to contact him for a long time went to the studio and broke into his work station to find him unconscious. He was immediately taken to City Hospital where the doctor declared him dead at around 4:30am.

Prithwi and Ritu Raj were the singing sensation to the young people. The siblings used to operate a YouTube channel ‘Jilapi Studios’ that is very popular among youths.

The duo came into limelight through the improvised version of the national anthem in 2014 created by them. Ritu Raj was the runner up in a very popular music competition while Prithwi was making his own music.

Apart from being music enthusiast, Prithwi was also a creative director of 'abc radio'.
