Maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra were advised to hoist local cautionary signal number 3 on Sunday, reports UNB.

The met office, in a bulletin, said that under the influence of strong monsoon, squally weather may affect the maritime ports, North Bay and the adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh.


Fishing boats and trawlers over the North Bay have been advised to remain close to the coast and proceed with caution until further notice.
