Bangladesh Book Fair in Kolkata kicks off 2 November

Bangladesh Book Fair-2018 is going to be held on 2 November until 11 November at Mohorkunja compound near Kolkata Rabindra Sadan in West Bengal of India.

Academy and Creative Publishers’ Association of Bangladesh has organised the fair in association with Bangladesh Export Promotion Bureau under the supervision of Bangladesh deputy high commission in Kolkata.

As many as 69 publishing-houses will participate in the 8th edition of the fair.

Bangladesh’s finance minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith will inaugurate the the fair. West Bengal’s power minister Sovandeb Chattopadhyay and former director general of Bangla Acaemy Shamsuzzaman Khan will attend the inaugural programme as guests of honour.

Bangladesh deputy high commissioner Towfique Hasan will preside over the programme.

The fair will remain open from 2:00pm to 8:00pm from Monday to Friday. It will be open for public until 8:30pm on Saturday and Sunday.
