With the advent of spring, everything comes alive.
The city ushers in this season of flowers with great fanfare and festivity. There's a riot of colours all around and the colours creep their their way into fashion.
Fashion experts suggest choosing bright colours to match the spring blooms.
Fashion house Bishwa Rang's designer Biplab Saha said "Picking the right colour is important. Flowers of vibrant colours bloom in spring. Outfits can be yellow, orange, magenta, yellow-orange, matching the flowers."
The designer recommends attire of colourful cotton fabrics with floral designs.
Fashion houses in the city have brought out a galore of fusion and traditional attire for men and women.
Women can choose kaftan tops, kurtas, sarees, shalwar kameez, jeans, and palazzo to wear on the first day of spring.
Men are not short of options either.
They can choose punjabis, short sleeved shirts, polo shirts or 'kabli' suits to welcome spring.
Fashion house Iconic's owner Taslima Molly said skirts, tops, kurtas and gowns are in this spring.
Maria Sultana's clothing line Mumu Maria includes fusion of both local and western styles.
Go Matte
Matte look is in this spring, beauty lounge Persona's beauty expert Kaniz Almas said.
First you need to moisturize your face, and then apply a matte foundation. Pick yellow, orange or peachy eye shadow and complete the look with a peach-shade lipstick, said the beauty expert.
Add a rickshaw painting styled bindi, and you are all set for spring!

Don't do your hair

Tousled hair should be the best for spring look.
Beauty lounge Bridal's beauty expert Tanzima Sharmeen said tousled hair with soft curls towards the end will go with western attires.
Waterfall braid could be another option.
Spring is synonymous with flowers.
Seasonal flowers including roses, gladioli, gerbera, gypsy, calendula, chrysanthimums and orchids could be used to adorn the hair.
Flower garland headband is also in this season.

Jazz it up jewelry
Biplab Saha said there is no alternative of flower jewelry when it comes to spring.
Kaniz Almas said glass bangles in multiple colors, pompom-shaped earrings should be on the beauty haul list for this spring.
