The city's upscale hotels have always added colour to the Pahela Baishakh celebrations of Dhaka's well-to-do and this year will be no different. In a market where the competition is fierce, the hotels are busy not only keeping the loyal customers happy, but also enticing the new ones with finer arrangements and better offers. Good for the customers, they are never short of options. Let us have a look at what some of the capital's star hotels have to offer.

Pan Pacific Sonargaon
The Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka will organise a Baisakhi Fair on 13 and 14 April.

The visitors will get a chance to buy Bangladeshi handicrafts, clothes and souvenirs at the fair.

Its Café Bazar restaurant will offer a wide range of authentic Bengali delicacies in the Baishakhi Buffet Fest.

The buffet lunch and dinner is priced at an unbeatable Tk 3000 per person, all-inclusive except beverage.

A special BBQ buffet will also be available at the hotel’s ‘Pool Café’ during these two days. The price is Tk 3000 per person, all-inclusive except beverages.

Le Méridien Dhaka
On the Pahela Baishakh, Le Méridien Dhaka will host Baishakhi buffet lunch and dinner prepared by masterchef Sitol at its ‘Latest Recipe’ restaurant.

Apart from traditional Bengali dishes, there will be an Indian station, a Western station, a Chinese station and live cooking station for the food lovers while live Baul music performance will try to create a befitting ambience for Baishakh.

The Baishakh special buffet lunch, priced at Tk 3,900 per person, will be available from 12:30pm to 3:30pm. The dinner, also priced at Tk 3,900 per person, will be available from 6:30pm to 11:30pm.

The Westin Dhaka
The Westin Dhaka will also organise a Baishakhi Fair on 14 April.

Entry to the event is free upon registration through Westin Dhaka’s event page, although food and beverage has to be purchased separately.

Its special Bengali buffet lunch is priced at Tk 5,000 while the dinner buffet is priced at Tk 5,500.

Westin Dhaka will also hold a Bengali food festival from 14 April to 21 April.

Dhaka Regency Hotel and Resort
Dhaka Regency Hotel and Resort in association with Mutual Trust Bank will hold a Baishakhi rally that will feature decorated elephants, horse carts and band party.

The hotel will also offer sumptuous Bengali dishes in its lunch and dinner buffets at the Grandiose Restaurant.

Live local music performance by renowned artists and fortune-telling mysterious parrots are the added features that will further entertain the guests.
