The FIFA World Cup football 2014 is going to kicks off today.
Search engine Google creates an interactive doodle to mark the 20th edition of global football.

The doodle begins by showing a yellow and blue football (The colours of the flag of Brazil), which bounces into view in the centre of the screen. As soon as the ball hits this point, the innocuous looking G, O, O, G, L and E letters suddenly start bouncing up and down, and in the background a view of Rio de Janeiro pops open.

There are palm trees, sand, cable cars, the city’s iconic Sugar Loaf Mountain and the statue of Christ the Redeemer.

It’s an overall merry scene and the sun seems to shine on in the World Cup fun. Clicking on the doodle one can get the latest news on the FIFA World Cup starting with the schedule for the day, the official FIFA website and so on and so forth. As the tournament continues, you will also see match results, group standings and so on.
