The British coach of Bangladesh national football team Jamie Day will arrive Dhaka on Thursday afternoon after spending two weeks in United Kingdom (UK) with family and for visa purpose, reports UNB.

Jamie Day will enjoy the performance of local footballers in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football.

Talking to the local reporters over phone from UK, Jamie said, “I will see performances of my players including some new guys, If I will find any talented player, definitely I will pick him.”

At the moment, the 2nd round of the league is running, where 85-90 per cent scorers are the foreigners, he said adding that “It happened because local players are getting opportunity to play in the forward position.”

The BPL is currently being played on seven venues across the country along with Bangabandhu National Stadium. Jamie Day said that he want to watch important matches in the district venues.

Bangladesh will play their World Cup and Asia Cup Qualifiers match against Afghanistan on 26 March that is likely to be held in Sylhet.

Meanwhile, BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag informed that they will provide all kinds of facilities there if Jamie wants to make the camp in Sylhet.
