Abdur Razzak called in for Test

Veteran spinner Abdur Razzak was called in for Bangladesh Test squad on Sunday nearly a four-year break.
The 36-year spinner played his last Test for Bangladesh against Sri Lanka in the same venue in Chittagong between 4 and 8 February in 2014.
The Bangladesh squad is scheduled to play a two-match Test series against visiting Sri Lanka, beginning on 31 January.
Abdur Razzak was called in after all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan was ruled out of the first Test of the two-match series against Sri Lanka due to finger injury during the final match of the recently-concluded tri-nation series against the Lankans.
Abdur Razzak has recently made history becoming first Bangladeshi cricketer to grab 500 wickets in the first class cricket.
“We’re considering Abdur Razzak in the absence of Shakib, but we’ll take the final decision after the team meeting very soon,” Bangladesh chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu told UNB on Sunday evening.
