Prothom Alo online to livestream Bangladesh-India series

Prothom Alo online will livestream Bangladesh’s Test and Twenty20 series with India as per a deal signed with Rabbitholebd at the Prothom Alo office on 29 October.

The series will begin with a Twenty20 match at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi today (Sunday).

Alongside the Prothom Alo online (www.prothomalo.com) the matches will also be livestreamed at (www.rabbitholebd.com).

For the first time, Prothom Alo is to livestream cricket games. Rabbithole’s parent organisation Content Matters’ chief executive officer ASM Rafiqullah and Prothom Alo digital’s executive editor Selim Khan signed the agreement on behalf of the respective parties.

Content Matters’ director and Top of Mind’s chief executive officer Ziauddin Adil and Prothom Alo editor Matiur Rahman were also present on the occasion.

Besides, Content Matters’ director-in-chief Nazmul Alam, marketing manager Mirajul Islam Prothom Alo’s director general (advertisement) Rashidur Rahman, Prothom Alo digital’s deputy editor Sheikh Saifur Rahman, head of digital business ABM Jabed Sultan and deputy manager AKM Aminur Rahman.

Addressing the signing ceremony, Ziauddin Adil said, “Rabbithole has made its name in digital world of Bangladesh through livestreaming the cricket games including the World Cup matches. We are expecting to create a big number of viewers online since Prothom Alo, the largest online platform of the country, has joined the efforts.”

ASM Rafiqullah said along with the live streams, highlights of the matches can be seen on both the websites.

He also said this joint livestreaming with the Prothom Alo kicks off with a significant tournament. This joint effort will continue in the future.

The Prothom Alo online will also broadcast live scores, news, analyses, experts' columns and more.
