Asia Cup Archery: Ruman Shana reaches recurve men's singles final
Bangladesh's celebrated archer Mohammad Ruman Shana has advanced to the recurve men's singles final of the Asia Cup World Ranking Archery Tournament (Stage-3), reports UNB.
He beat Sadikov Amirkhan of Uzbekistan by 6-0 sets in the semifinal in Iraq Monday.
Ruman Shana will face Chauhan Mrinal of India in the gold medal match Wednesday.
On the way to the final, Ruman Shana beat Alrashidi Faisal of Kuwait 6-0, Magzhanov Vladislav of Kazakhstan by 6-2 sets and his compatriot Hakim Ahmed Rubel by 6-2 in the quarterfinal.
In the compound women's singles, Shymoly Roy and Suma Biswas of Bangladesh were eliminated from the semifinal today.
The archers will meet each other in the bronze medal match Tuesday.
