Nabil’s ton helps Bangladesh beat India by 113 runs

A brilliant century by Prantik Nawrose Nabil helped the touring Bangladesh U19 team to beat the Indian U19 team by 113 runs in the U19 Triangular Series held at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Wednesday, reports UNB.

Winning the toss Bangladesh decided to bat first and piled up a huge total of 305 runs for 6 in 50 overs.

Nabil scored 101 runs off 108 balls hitting 14 boundaries, SM Meherob played a brilliant knock of 70* of just 48 balls.

Koushal Tambe grabbed two wickets for 43 runs while Gautam took one for 19 for India.

Chasing a mammoth total, the India U19 team collapsed at 192 in 45.3 overs with Koushal Tambe making 42, Fiaz 27 and Gosai 27 runs.

Ariful Islam was lethal with the ball for Bangladesh picking up four wickets for just 22 runs and Naimur Rahman claimed 2 wickets.
