Bangladesh to play first match against Jordan

Bangladesh will play their opening group match against Jordan on 19 September 19 in the AFC Women's Asian Cup qualifiers, reports BSS. Bangladesh in the G group and the AFC finalised the fixture for group G on Wednesday.

Bangladesh will play their second and last group match against Islamic Republic of Iran on 22 September. The matches of group G will end on 25 September. Islamic Republic of Iran will take on Jordan that day.

Earlier, AFC confirmed that the AFC Women's Asian Cup qualifiers would be held in Uzbekistan in September.

The matches of this group were however scheduled to be held in Sylhet.

Later the AFC decided to hold the event in a neutral venue without giving Bangladesh a chance to host the group stage due to the rise of coronavirus.
