Bangladesh were three wickets down on 12, but Mushfiqur Rahim and Mohammad Mithun have saved the team from further problems in their crunch Asia Cup Super Four game against Pakistan on Wednesday.

The duo have already made a 100 plus partnership, taking the score to 138 for 3 at the end of the 30th over.

Mushfiq is not out on 68 while Mithun is on 53.

Winning the toss once again, Tigers skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza opted to bat first in a game they were missing key player Shakib Al Hasan, ruled out with a finger injury.

But the Pakistan bowlers started in lethal form, Junaid Khan first removing Soumya Sarkar in the second over before he could score a single run.

Shaheen Shah Afridi dismantled the wickets of Mominul Haque in the next over while Junaid did the same to Liton Das the following over.

Pakistan were courageous enough to drop Mohammad Amir, bringing in Junaid Khan.

The winners of this game will play favourites India in Friday's final.
