Bangladesh have sealed their second World Cup victory beating West Indies by seven wickets in Taunton on Monday. With a brilliant ton from Shakib Al Hasan (128) and superb half-century from Liton Das (94), Bangladesh chased down a record 322-run victory. Many former international cricketers praised Bangladesh’s outstanding victory.

Congratulating the Tigers on Twitter, former Indian cricket star Sourav Ganguly said, “Well done Bangladesh. So good to see so much character in the team. Keep playing this way.”

Pakistan pace superstar Shoaib Akhtar tweeted, “This was one clinical performance. The way Bangladesh played today and chased down 322, I hope we learn something out of it. This is how you avoid collapses and chase big totals.”

Kiwi cricket commentator Danny Morrison congratulated Bangladesh team for the enormous victory.

India cricketer and cricket analyst VVS Laxman saw the chase an amazing task. He said, “Congrats @BCBtigers on the win. Amazed to see how easy they chased down such a mammoth total. @Sah75official played with lot of responsibility to get his 2 consecutive 100 but I was very impressed with the maturity shown by young Liton Das.”

Another India cricket and commentator Harsha Bhogle praised Bangladesh a lot.

“Bangladesh have the class, and crucially, the attitude to get these. Will have to combat all the short-pitched bowling that will come their way. Good match in prospect,” he tweeted.
