IU students to contest int’l debate in Qatar

A four-member team of students of Islamic University in Kushtia will participate in a five-day international Arabic debate competition in Qatar on 16 March, reports UNB.

The four IU team members are- Ahmad Mustayeen Billah of Arabic Language and Literature department, Toha Tarik of Al-Quran and Islamic Studies department, Niyamat Ullah of Al-Hadith and Islamic Studies department and Abdul Kadir of Dawah and Islamic Studies department.

The team will be led by IU Arabic language and literature department professor AKM Shamsul Haque Siddiqi, sources at IU information, publication and public relations office (IPPRO) said on Sunday.

A total of 110 debate teams from all over the world were taking part in the competition.
