The Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations will begin on Saturday with the participation of a total of 2,661,682 examinees.

Some 2,260,716 students are expected to take part in the JSC examination while the rest in the JDC at 2,982 centres across the country.

Earlier on 29 October, education minister Dipu Moni said that the results of JSC and equivalent examinations would be assessed based on grade point average 4 instead of the existing GPA-5 from the next year.

The JSC and JDC exams are scheduled to be held from 2 to 13 November.

She also said all coaching centres throughout the country would remain closed between 25 October and 15 November to prevent question paper leak.
