This year’s HSC and equivalent examination results would be published on 26 November.

Dhaka Education Board chairman and the head of the inter education board coordination committee, professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar confirmed the news to Prothom Alo today, Monday.

He said that the education ministry has verbally said that the results will be published on 26 November.

Earlier, the education boards sent a proposal to the government to publish the results between 26 and 28 November.

The boards also requested the education ministry to take necessary arrangements for publishing the results on any of these three days.

That’s why every time the education boards send a proposal to the education ministry suggesting three probable dates.

Later, the education ministry contacts the prime ministers’ office to finalise the result publication day and then informs the education boards.

This year’s HSC and equivalent examinations began on 17 August. However due to natural disaster, the exam started a few days later in the Chattogram, madrasa and technical boards.

Except for once subject, exams on all other subjects carried full marks and the exams were conducted on full time based on the revised curriculum.

Only the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) exam was decided to be graded out of 75 marks instead of 100 at the last minute.
