Jagannath University has decided to hold classes and exams physically, ensuring that health guidelines are maintained. This was decided recently at a meeting held recently, following the resurgence of coronavirus cases.

The meeting held today, Wednesday, at the vice chancellor’s conference room in the administrative building, was chaired by the vice chancellor Imdadul Hoque. Also present at the meeting were the dean of the various faculties, chairmen of the departments and the heads of the institutes.

After the meeting, when asked about the decision, dean of the arts faculty Professor Rais Uddin told Prothom Alo that the government hadn’t imposed any restrictions as yet and the education minister was also wanting classes and exams to continue. That was why it had been decided to continue with classes and exams physically on campus, ensuring that health guidelines were maintained.

Raid Uddin said, we have requested the university administration to pay attention to two factors in taking classes and tests. One was to ensure vaccinations for all students as well as booster doses. The other was to ensure that health guidelines were followed by wearing masks and sanitizing. A decision was reached on consensus to hold the classes and exams with physical presence.
