JU cancels winter vacation

Jahangirnagar University (JU) authorities have cancelled the winter vacations of the calendar of 2021-2022 academic year as a way to resolve possible session jams of the students due to the coronavirus pandemic, reports BSS.

The decision was taken at a syndicate meeting of the university chaired by JU vice chancellor professor Farzana Islam on Wednesday night.

JU treasurer professor Rasheda Akhtar confirmed the matter to news agency BSS on Thursday.

However, holidays like Martyred Intellectuals Day, Victory Day and Christmas Day will remain as usual, she added.
