Universities allowed to conduct in person exams: UGC
Alongside online, universities are also allowed to take in-person examinations of honours and masters classes.
University Grant Commission (UGC) in a letter on Thursday asked universities to adopt effective measures to hold in person examination following the approval of academic council of the universities.
Officials concerned told Prothom Alo on Friday that UGC is going to formulate a policy coordinating online and offline curriculum. The UGC said they have taken this initiative to facilitate continuing educational activities amidst the pandemic.
All universities—49 public and 107 private—remain closed for more than a year to curb the Covid-19 transmission.
Although the government is mulling over reopening the educational institutions from 13 June, it is yet to clear when the universities will open.
