38th BCS final results published

Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) has published the final results of 38th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination.

BPSC chairman Muhammed Sadique confirmed this to Prothom Alo after a meeting at the commission on Tuesday afternoon.

BPSC conducts the recruitment process and recommends to the public administration ministry for the recruitment.

Results will be available on website of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC).

A total of 2,204 candidates have been recommended for the recruitment in different cadres of civil service, officials have said.

Of them, 613 candidates are recommended for general cadres, 220 for assistant surgeons, 71 as dental surgeons, 532 in some technical cadres and 668 for education cadres.

Class one gazetted cadre officials are recruited through BCS examinations. However, the government has started recruitment from the waiting lists for non-cadre officials recently to avoid the hassle of the recruitment process.

As many as 9,862 candidates passed the written examinations in which 14,546 candidates appeared.

Those who passed the written examinations faced a viva voce held in February.

The written examinations ended on 13 August 2019 while the preliminary examinations were held on 29 December 2017.

As many as 389,468 jobs seekers took the preliminary examinations.

The 38th BCS written exams was concluded on 13 August 2019. A total of 9,862 candidates came out successful in the written examinations out of 14,546 participants.
