DU suspends Ka Unit results for MCQ errors
Dhaka University has postponed the results of the Ka Unit admission test for session 2019-20 under the Faculty of Science.
In a few hours into the results, the DU authorities came up with the decision citing errors in evaluating multiple choice questions (MCQ).
“The admission test coordinators held an urgent meeting at the office of the Science Faculty dean on 20 October. Some errors were found in evaluating papers of the MCQ test. We are sorry for that. Under the circumstances, the results have been postponed,” reads a press statement on Sunday evening.
The press statement also said the corrected version of the results will be published soon.
As per the results published earlier in the day, a total of 11,207 out of 85,879 admission seekers passed the admission test of Ka Unit while 343 out of 13,705 students qualified in Cha Unit test.
As high as 13.05 per cent secured pass marks in ‘Ka’ Unit against 1795 seats and 2.5 per cent qualified in ‘Cha’ Unit test.
