Pori Moni files case against businessman Nasir, 5 others

Dhallywood actress Pori Moni has filed a case against businessman Nasir Uddin and five others with Savar police station for attempted rape and murder.

Pori Moni filed the written complaint on Monday morning. Police sources said they recorded the complaint of Pori Moni.

Asked about the case, police headquarters’ additional inspector general (media and public relations) Md Sohel Rana in a text message told Prothom Alo, “The matter has been taken seriously.”

A high official of Dhaka district police said they are trying to detain the accused person.

Earlier on Sunday evening Pori Moni alleged that someone attempted to rape and kill her recently.

“I was physically tortured. Attempt was made to rape and kill me. I want justice. Where will I seek justice?” she wrote from her verified Facebook post.

She later talked with journalists at her Banani residence on Sunday night and said she, along with her friend Omi and personal makeup artist Jimi, went to a club in Ashulia after 12 at night on 10 June.

Omi introduced her to some persons there who were drinking. At one point, one of them tried to make her drink alcohol forcefully and tried to rape her, alleged Pori Moni.
