Justice Sultan Hossain Khan passes away

Justice Sultan Hossain Khan, a former chairman of Anti-Corruption Commission and also former chief election commissioner, passed away on Saturday. He was 91.
He left behind his wife, two sons, two daughters and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
Also a retired judge of the High Court Division, Sultan Hossain Khan breathed his last at Square Hospital at 4:30am, his family members said.
His namaz-e-janaza will be held on the premises of Supreme Court mosque at 1:30pm on Monday. He will be buried at his village home at Jhalakathi.

All are requested to pray for the salvation of his departed soul.
Justice Sultan Hossain Khan, son of late Saijuddin Khan, hailed from Rajapur in Jhalakathi district.

He served as chief election commissioner in 1990 and became the first chairman of the ACC after the Anti-Corruption Bureau was transformed into Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) in 2004. He was also the chairman of Bangladesh Press Council.
