Legal notice served to DSCC for failure to control Aedes mosquito

A legal notice has been served to Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) mayor and its chief executive officer asking them to provide Tk 5 million as compensation for their failure to take any effective measure to destroy Aedes mosquito, reports UNB.

Supreme Court lawyer Tanjim Al Islam served the notice.

According to the notice, Tanjim's wife was hospitalised with dengue fever and recovered partially after treatment for five days. The family of the lawyer suffered much for this.

The DSCC will have to take responsibility for its failure to destroy Aedes mosquito, it said.

The writ also sought effective measures within three days to destroy mosquito in Khilgaon Ward No 1.
