Man killed by ‘younger brother’ in Ctg
A man was stabbed to death allegedly by his younger brother over a trifling matter at Rabeya Rahman Lane in the port city on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Sohel Chowdhury, 35, a diploma engineer and son of Sirajuddoullah Chowdhury, a resident of the area.
Jashim Uddin, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station, said Sohel used to scold his younger brother Mobashwer Chowdhury alias Raihan, a 2nd year student of Kazem Ali School and College, over his study.
On Sunday morning, when Sohel went to Raihan’s room for awakening him to go to college, Raihan stabbed his brother with a sharp weapon around 9:30am, leaving Sohel dead on the spot.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Chittagong Medical College Hospital morgue.
Police also recovered two sharp weapons from the room.
However, police could not arrest Raihan as he fled the scene after the incident.
