At least 16 people were killed and more than 100 others injured in a head-on collision between two trains in Brahmanbaria early Monday.

The collision occurred when Dhaka-bound Turna Nishitha from Chattogram and Chattogram-bound Udayan Express from Sylhet collided near the Mandabhag railway station of the district at 2:48am.
