Launch fare reduced by 15 paisa per km
The fare of launches has been reduced by 15 paisa per kilometre (km) while the minimum fare has been fixed at Tk 30.
The decision taken on Thursday, came a day after the bus fare was decreased by 5 paisa a km.
The readjusted fare will be effective from Thursday midnight, confirmed a press release from the shipping ministry.
According to the newly set price, passengers will have to pay Tk 2.85 instead of Tk 3 per km for the first 100 km.
