US wants to maintain good relations with Bangladesh: Momen

The minister came up with these remarks on Thursday while talking to the journalists following an event at Sylhet Agricultural University (SAU)

The foreign minister AK Abdul Momen on Thursday said the United States wants to work with Bangladesh, maintaining good relations.

Foreign minister said, "Several high-ups of the US government visited Bangladesh in the last seven months to improve the relationship between the two nations. They also urged our leaders to visit their country (US) to hold discussions. Both countries want to improve the relationship, clearing up the misunderstandings."

The minister came up with these remarks while talking to the newsmen following an event at Sylhet Agricultural University (SAU).  

Mentioning the recent visits of many diplomats to the country, Abdul Momen said Bangladesh has become an important nation to them (diplomats). So, they want to engage with the country as there are myriads of opportunities to share.
