Policeman held with ‘yaba’ in Khulna

Members of the Department of Narcotics Control detained a police constable and recovered 80 yaba tablets from his possession from Nabapalli Aichgati village in Rupsha upazila of Khulna district on Wednesday, reports UNB.

The detainee was identified as Nazmul Khan, 21, of Tangail district. He was posted at Boyra police lines in Khulna.

Acting on a tip off, a DNC team conducted a drive at the village and detained Nazmul along with the yaba tablets, said inspector Hawladar Mohammad Sirajul Islam of DNC, Khulna.

Nazmul was handed over to the local police, he added.
