Man killed in Chuadanga ‘gunfight’

A man was killed in a reported gunfight with police in Sadar upazila of Chuadanga early Wednesday.

The deceased is Ketu Hossain, son of Shawkat Molla of Akandabaria village of the upazila.

Police said, Ketu was an accused in local Baul organiser Zakir Hossain and Gaffar Kabiraj murder cases.

Police recovered six bombs, sharp weapons, a one shooter gun and two cartridges from the spot.

Chuadanga police station officer in charge Tozammel Haque said police picked up the body after the incident and took it to Sadar hospital where doctors then declared him dead.
