All necessary preparations have almost been completed for holding one of the country's largest Eid congregations at Sholakia Eidgah in Kishoreganj.

A four-tier security measure will be in place in and around the Eidgah to ensure foolproof security, said deputy commissioner of Kishoreganj Sarwar Murshed Chowdhury.

Alongside regular law enforcers, members of Border Guard Bangladesh, Rapid Action Battalion, plainclothes police and intelligence agencies will remain deployed, he said at a press briefing at Sholakia Eidgah on Sunday.

Besides, there will be watchtowers and close-circuit cameras to monitor the ground.

Two units of firefighters and ambulances will remain standby to respond to any emergency need.

Meanwhile, devotees will not be allowed to enter the Eidgah carrying anything other than prayer mats.

Two special trains will run on the Bhairab-Kishoreganj-Bhairab and Mymensingh-Kishoreganj-Mymensingh routes on the Eid day to facilitate the travel of devotees.
