The government is thinking about replacing the grade point average (GPA) system in the results of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) with a common system as followed by public universities in the country.

Sohrab Hossain, senior secretary to education department, on Tuesday said there is a unified result publication system abroad as the public universities in Bangladesh have, reports UNB.

He said a meeting was held over a demand for replacing the GPA system with a common result publication system everywhere.

“The decision is not final yet… the authorities concerned have been directed to examine it,” Sohrab added.
