RAB man’s hand blown off while disposing bomb

The left hand of a member of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) was blown off while he was disposing of a bomb at Abhaynagar police station in Jashore district, reports UNB.

Shahidul Islam, corporal of RAB-6, was admitted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH).

Officer-in-charge of Abhaynagar police station Md Tajul Islam said a bomb went off when a four-member RAB team was disposing of seven bombs around 10:45am, blowing away Shahidul’s left hand.
