Writing verdicts in Bangla started in higher courts: CJ

Chief justice Hasan Foyez Siddique said writing verdicts in Bangla language has started in the higher court of Bangladesh.

The chief justice said that after paying homage to language martyrs at the Central Shaheed Minar on the occasion of International Mother Language Day and Shaheed Dibash.

Chief justice also said a separate branch has been introduced in the court for full implementation of the process of writing verdicts in Bangla.

The CJ said Bangladesh Supreme Court launched an Artificial Intelligence (AI) based translation software ‘Amar Bhasha’ so that people can translate the verdicts written in English to Bangla and understand them easily. The software translates orders and judgements of the court from English to Bangla.
