Noble and Nobelman
Mainul Ahsan Noble won third position in the latest season of popular Indian music reality show ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’. Netizens on social media and people from all spheres were elated with his success. Nobel was brought to fame with his commendable singing talent.
The young singing sensation returned to Bangladesh recently after the grand finale of Zee Bangla show. He has been very busy with shows across the country.
“I already have performed in four stage shows in Dhaka and Chattogram with my band Nobleman. I have been really busy as there are stage performances schedules for almost every day,” Nobel said.
Noble opened up about his career plan,what he is up to now and more.
Noble’s singing talent has enthralled many expatriate Bangladeshis across the world too. Noble signed several overseas contracts for stage shows in the US, UK, Canada, Dubai and Malyasia right after the reality show ended.
Changes in life
Asked about the significant changes in his life after ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’, Noble said, “No one knew who I was. No matter how hard I worked before, I didn't achieve much.”
“I would be able to hang out in public easily before, but now I am besieged by fans who come to take selfies with me,” he added.
Noble’s love life
Noble was reticent to speak about his love life.
“I first fell in love in class VIII,” he finally said, “It was back in 2008. But I’d rather not talk about this. My love life has nothing to do with my singing.”
Noble’s biopic
Noble has seen many ups and downs in this life. He had a hard time with studies and it was difficult to explain to his family that music was his only passion.
Asked if anyone made a biopic about him, who could be the on-screen Noble, the singer replied, "I do not think I have done anything that big! Even if such a thing ever happens, the director will decide.”
“There are so many people out there who are doing extremely good. They deserve the appreciation. Maybe if one day I can sing for Bollywood or Hollywood, that will be something,” Noble laughed.
Interest in acting
"I've acted before and would like to act again. However, until I have achieved a satisfaction level with my singing. I will not take up acting,” Noble said.
Noble enjoys movies and plays. His favorite actors are Musharraf Karim, Chanchal Chowdhury, Jaya Ahsan, Salman Khan, Nana Patekar and Vidya Balan.
Noble and criticism
Noble was asked if he is affected by criticism in the media and the social media.
“It depends on the criticism. I try to figure out if the criticism is just for fun or if it's constructive. I am not perfect. Some criticism can be helping in working on my flaws,” the singer told the Prothom Alo correspondent.
Hard times
Until joining ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ from 2014 to 2018, it was a very difficult time for Noble. He quit studies after A levels and became the ‘bad boy’ in his family.
“Music is my passion. I couldn't manage studies and music together. My parents had to go through a lot for me.” Noble said.
Sometimes he was ready to give it all up, but them managed to conjure up his courage again.
“I felt, I simply have to do it. I must not lose hope,” Noble said.
The overnight fame also scares Noble.
“I achieved so much within such a short span of time. That is why it is scary,” Noble told Prothom Alo.
If Noble woke up one fine day and found out he could not sing anymore, what would he do?
“I will pen lyrics and compose music. I will find a singer like me and give him my songs to sing,” he replied unhesitatingly.
Original songs of Nobelman
“Noble’s band Nobelman is soon to come up with original songs. Four songs have already been composed. He said, “I want to release the songs after producing the music videos. We hope to release the songs every two months,” Noble said.
