Sabina Yasmin to get Feroza Begum Commemorative Gold Medal

Celebrated singer Sabina Yasmin has been named as the recipient of the ‘Feroza Begum Commemorative Gold Medal’ initiated by the University of Dhaka, says news agency UNB.

This was announced at a press conference at the conference room of the Business Studies Faculty on Tuesday.

DU launched the award to pay a tribute to legendary Nazrul Sangeet singer Feroza Begum.

The award will be given to one renowned singer and one highest CGPA holder student of Music Department of DU every year.
The award giving ceremony will be held at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban of DU at 4 pm on 28 July on the birthday of the legendary musician.

Vice chancellor of DU professor AAMS Arefin Siddique will hand over the awards to the recipients.
