'Swapnajaal' opens with high hope
Giasuddin Selim’s much-anticipated project ‘Swapnajaal’ hit in some 25 theatres across the country today, Friday.
The India-Bangladesh joint venture film, produced by Bengal Creations and India’s Bengal Barta, stars Pori Moni and newcomer Yash Rohan as lead actors.
The film has created quite a buzz among the cinema-lovers right after the release of its trailer mostly because of the reputation of the filmmaker and its cast.
After a long hiatus of nine years, director Giasuddin Selim has returned to the silver screen with ‘Swapnajaal’. His biggest blockbuster, ‘Mon Pura’, was released in 2009. On that note, ‘Swapnajaal’ is certainly a long running project of the director.
‘Swapnajaal’ revolves around a romantic story of two people separated at a very young age, said the director in a press conference on 28 March. Viewers will love their desire to reunite shown in the film, he added.
Pori Moni also joined the same press conference with Giasuddin Selim.
“'Swapnajaal' will be the landmark of my career. Hopefully, viewers will like my role here,” Pori told the media on 28 March.
The male-lead Yash Rohan is quite new in the industry. He is the son of acclaimed actors Naresh Bhuiyan and Shilpi Sarkar Apu.
He worked hard in the film, said Yash in an interview with Prothom Alo on Friday.
“The director believed in me. I tried to show respect to his faith through my work,” said Yash.
'Swapnajaal'’s story and script were penned by Giasuddin Selim and presented by the confectionary brand All Time.
The cast of the film also includes Fazlur Rahman Babu, Farhana Mithu, Rajat Ganguly, Iresh Zaker in different roles.
