My father is my world: Dighi

Many of us remember Dighi, a pretty girl asking her father about their pet bird in a television commercial.

The child actress, who won the hearts of millions with her adorable voice, “Baba, jano? Amader ekta moyna pakhi achhe na?” is a grown girl now.

She is an eighth grade student and will take her Junior School Certificate Exam (JSE) soon.

As an actress, she has also come a long way since the TVC. She is now a frequent face in movies of the Dhaka film industry, known as Dhallywood.

To Dighi, her father Subrata is the world. She lost her mother actress Doel in 2011.

Since then, her father is everything to her, Dighi told Prothom Alo.

“When father is away from home for a few days, the world seems empty to me. He is my superhero,” she added.

Subrata feels the same about his daughter Dighi.

“I want her never to feel the absence of her mother,” Subrata said.
