Actress Srabosti Dutta Tinni is in Canada for three months now. She has enrolled her daughter Warisha into a school there. Tinni spoke to Prothom Alo over phone, talking on her life and career.

Why did you leave the country all on a sudden?
There is no specific reason. After my first marriage fell apart I felt like going abroad for a change. Soon I got married again, all on a sudden. However, it did not work out either. I was feeling very restless and decided to go on a trip since I already had a visa.

How long will you be staying in Canada?
About two years. I will try to recompose myself here. If things work out, I hope to get settled here in the future.

You have been staying there for about three months. What are you doing there?
I am not doing anything right now. I have got my daughter Warisha admitted to a French school, in Standard 3. I take her to the school in the morning and then bring her back in the afternoon. That's how the days are passing by.

Won't you do something for yourself?
For the time being I'm occupied with my daughter's schol. Very soon I will start learning French here. I wish to join a local TV station here.

Are you having a good time?
Yeah I am. I am visiting places with my daughter during the holidays. Every now and then I come across Bangalees. They come speak to me, take my autograph or compliment my acting. It makes me feel good. I have not been acting regularly of late, but they do still remember me. So yeah, life is beautiful.

You acted in some plays sporadically. And now you have gone abroad. So, in a sense you have stopped acting ...
I went through a very difficult time in Bangladesh and could not pay much attention. Now that I am outside, I am trying to recreate myself. The problems are no longer here. Now-a-days Bangla plays are being shot at various locations across the world. If a director comes to Canada and wants me to act I will do that happily.

What was the last play you acted in?
It was a one-hour play titled Ekti Nil Kuashar Mrittyu (the Death of A Blue Fog), directed by Parvez Amin. I was paired with Sajal and it was aired during the Eid-ul-Azha on NTV.
