Suborna Mustafa has starred in the film 'Gohin Baluchar' directed by Badrul Anam Saud and this will be the last movie releasing this year. Joya Ahsan's 'Putra', to be released on 5 January, will be the first movie in 2018.
Jaaz Multimedia, distributor of both movies, announced that they were preparing to release the movie in more than 50 theatres.
'Gohin Baluchar' was to be released on 20 October but has been postponed till 29 December.
When asked about the delay, Suborna said, "The film 'Dhaka Attack' was doing well at that time. Moreover, audiences have a different sort of interest in 'Gohin Baluchar' which will be released by the end of the year".
Suborna said, 'Gohin Baluchar' is a labour of love. It has all the components of a good film. It stars Fazlur Rahman Babu, Moon, Tanvir, Nilanjana Nila and others.
'Putra' to be released in January next year, stars Joya Ahsan as a school teacher opposite actor Ferdous.
Joya has already been in the spotlight in hits like the Indian films 'Bisorjon' and 'Khacha'.
Citing 'Putra' as great start for the New Year, the actress said, "The movie is based on various social issues. The audience can easily relate with the movie".
The filming of 'Putra' started in 2015 with financial assistance from the Department of Films and Publications (DFP) and is to be released next year. Richi Solaiman, Saberi Alam and others have worked in the film.
