Armeen's fans her greatest achievement

Habibullah Siddique . Dhaka | Update:

Armeen Musa. Prothom Alo File PhotoIt has been 10 years in her music career. The singer cum composer and songwriter is one of those Bangladeshi musicians who can harness emotion in their songs. This is Armeen Musa.
The singer arranged a solo performance with her band ‘Armeen Musa Band’ at Niketan Junction auditorium in the capital.
While preparing for the event, Armeen talked to Prothom Alo in an interview Thursday.
Excerpts of the interview:
Prothom Alo: How’s the preparation for the event?
Armeen Musa: We have been preparing for a while. The first phase of the event was arranged in 2018 on the occasion of 10th anniversary of my career as a musician. Tomorrow’s (Friday) programme is the second part.
I will sing some of my popular songs, a few songs of Arnob and a folk song in the 2:30 hour event.
The aim is to share my 10 years of journey with my fans.
Prothom Alo: How did you count the 10 years?
Armeen: I count it from the year my first album was released. The album was titled ‘Aay ghum Bhangai’.
Prothom Alo: What’s your overall achievement in the past 10 years?
Armeen: Not much, I guess. My fans are my greatest achievement. They always inspire me.
Music is my life. I studied music and used to perform in two TV programmes.
However, the genre of songs I used to sing is getting less popular among listeners. Arnob and Topu used to sing that type of songs.
And I think it is clear what the listeners like to listen these days when the most hit and viral song currently is ‘Oporadhi’.
Prothom Alo: You planned a project named ‘Ghasphoring’. What about that?
Armeen: It’s a platform to rehearse and perform western-like songs. We are 16 in total. We are planning something big.
Prothom Alo: What are you up to now?
Armeen: I'm planning for a new Bangla album with my band.
Prothom Alo: What do you look for in a man?
Armeen: Well, he must be honest.
Prothom Alo: What’s your cheat-day meal?
Armeen: Rice and fish.
