Rain may bring relief in the sweltering heat

People of the capital city have been experiencing sweltering heat from Saturday morning even though there was rain, triggered by Cyclone Yaas, in different places of the country including Dhaka since Wednesday.

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has said, there may be rain in different places including Dhaka today, Saturday. But the temperature of the whole country, during the day and night, may rise slightly.

Temporary gusty or squally winds might barrel over some areas of Rajshahi, Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions along with one or two places of Dhaka, Khulna, Sylhet and Barisal divisions, BMD warned.

On Saturday morning, minor earthquakes hit Sylhet, but there were no reports of any casualty or damage to property.
