Breakfast is crucial to keep you going for the whole day. Hormones are active and metabolism starts working in the morning.

Skipping breakfast can make you tired and lose your stamina during the day. Controlling your diet and taking limited amounts of calories might not help the situation. Let us have a look at a healthy breakfast:

1. Those who diet may be taking in 200-300 calories. The food must contain complex carbohydrates and proteins along with little fat or oil. Fresh fruit is good.

2. The level of fat in readymade paratha, chapatti, naan, white bread are far higher than in homemade chapattis, wholegrain brown bread.

3.  Including fibre-rich items in breakfast will help prevent constipation in the morning.

Examples of a healthy breakfast:

* Two handmade small chapattis (Each 80 calories=160 calories)

* A bowl of vegetables (150 g=80 calories)

* Half of a banana (60 calories)

* One chapatti (80 calories)

* One egg (160 calories)

* Half a bowl of lentil soup

* A bowl of milk porridge (217 calories)

4.

* A cup of milk (150 calories)

* 2 slices of brown bread (155 calories)
