Bangladesh face India in the first match of the Super Four round of Asia Cup in Dubai on Friday, just within 16 hours of playing their last group stage match in energy sapping condition in Abu Dhabi.

The match begins at 5:30pm Bangladesh standard time.

Tigers will have to dig deep into their energy and fitness to put up a better show against India, who have got plenty of rest, while Bangladesh boys lost to Afghanistan the day before and about 140 kilometres away from today's venue.

However, with the likes of Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan and Mohammad Mithun, the team have the capability of chasing or putting high scores on board, writes IANS.

Also, quality pace bowling in Mustafizur Rahaman and Rubel Hossain with support of left-arm spinner Shakib carries the potential of posing some threat to the Indian batting line-up.

After a lacklustre show against minnows Hong Kong, the defending champions, India, led by stand-in captain Rohit Sharma, rode on an all-round show to outclass arch-rivals Pakistan by eight wickets on Wednesday.

Come Friday, crowds can expect another thrilling contest when the two tournament favourites clash in Asia's biggest cricketing event.
