CU to host int’l media conference

The Department of Communication and Journalism, University of Chittagong, will host a three-day international conference on media and communication on the campus from Tuesday, reports UNB.

The theme of the conference is ‘Media, Communication and Journalism: Prospects and Challenges in Bangladesh and Beyond’, said a press release issued on Friday.

Information minister Hasanul Haq Inu will attend the inaugural session of the conference as the chief guest at AK Khan Law Faculty Auditorium on Tuesday morning.

CU vice-chancellor Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury will chair the inaugural session while Bangla daily Dainik Azadi editor MA Malek will be the special guest.

University Grants Commission chairman Abdul Mannan will attend as the chief guest in the closing session.
