A Bangladeshi youth won global video blogging competition conducted by Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), reports BSS.

ICCR launched the Global video blogging competition titled “My Life My Yoga” in June 2020 where Mansif Helali, a teenager from Bangladesh, bagged the third position in the youth category for his extraordinary skills in different postures of yoga.

Helali has been a student of yoga for last 11 years. At an event at the High Commission of India in Dhaka, high commissioner Vikram K Doraiswami handed over a cheque of US dollar 1000 to Mansif Helali and congratulated him in the presence of his family and officials of the High Commission.

Despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the competition elicited an overwhelming response from across the globe, presumably in part because of enhanced interest in yoga as a means of maintaining health in the fight against Covid-19.

A large number of participants’ uploaded videos for this global video blogging competition entitled “My Life My Yoga” from around the world while the maximum number of entries was from Bangladesh.
