High school admission: Lottery results published

The results of the digital lottery for admission from class I to class IX in the 2023 academic session at the country’s government high schools has been published.

The education minister Dipu Moni inaugurated the lottery admission on Monday at the International Mother Language institution in Dhaka.    

The lottery for admission at private schools will be held on Tuesday around 3:00pm.

As many as 3,392 schools -- 2,852 private and 540 government -- have been involved in the lottery system where a total of 912,644 students applied for admission.    

Of them, 107,089 students have been qualified for admission at 540 government high schools against over 638,000 applications. On the other hand, the private-run schools received 274,000 applications against their 925,066 seats.
