IU holds seminar on leadership development

A seminar on 'Leadership development and financial inclusion in digital era' was held at Islamic University in Kushtia on Tuesday, reports UNB.

IU economics department organised the seminar at Birshreshta Hamidur Rahman auditorium around 11:00am.

IU vice-chancellor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari addressed the seminar as the chief guest while former Bangladesh Bank governor Atiur Rahman delivered the speech as the chief discussant with the departmental chairman Debashish Sharma in the chair.

IU Pro-VC M Shahinoor Rahman and treasurer M Selim Toha were present as special guests while Abdul Muyeed delivered the welcome speech.

In his speech, Atiur Rahman shed light on leadership development and financial inclusion in a digital era. "We should invest more in education from where we can make good leadership. Teachers should nourish their students giving them advice to be leaders."

He asked the students to firmly believe in themselves that they will not get job but give it to others.

Mithila Tanzil, a lecturer of IU economics department, conducted the seminar attended by over 2,000 teachers and students of different departments.
