Bangladesh national cricket team captain Mushfiqur Rahim got Grameenphone-Prothom Alo Player of the Year Sports Award 2013 on Friday.
Cricketer Shohag Gazi and golfer Siddikur Rahman jointly gripped the runner up award.
The awards were given at the Grand Ballroom of Hotel Sonargaon in Dhaka.
Bangladesh cricket team's first captain Shamim Kabir received Lifetime Achievement Award for his outstanding contribution to the country's sports arena.
Award for Emerging Player of the Year went to cricketer Mominul Haque while national women Kabaddi player Shahnaz Parvin got Female Player of the Year Award.
Mushfiqur Rahim also received Popular Player Award selected by public vote.
